Loot Odds

These numbers are regenerated from the game's code every time the site is published.

Crates

Every number below comes from the game's own crate roll, run 1,000,000 times per crate with the shipped loot data (game build v232). That makes them accurate to about ±0.1%. Figures marked "exact" are worked out straight from the weights.

Crates and crate keys can't be bought. Not with money and not with Dead Coin. You can't trade them or list them on the market. You find them in raids, and some free rewards include one: the daily login streak, the daily missions bonus, friend invites and trader tasks.

  • A Tier III Tank (boss) always drops a Legendary Crate.
  • A Gold carrier (Golden Stampede) always drops a Weapon Case.
  • Each bandit car in a bandit convoy carries a crate 35.0% of the time: a Military Crate 25.0% of those times, otherwise a Weapon Case.
  • Some crates are also placed around the island and in hidden places, and raid events (supply drops, the armored train, the loot balloon, cash trucks) carry them too.

Containers

Crates, safes, vaults and other containers roll items from their own loot table. Each roll lands on one entry of the table. The tables below show each roll's rarity and how often it is gold coins (loose coins or a gold bag, paid as Dead Coin), by area tier (exact). Weapons, attachments, gadgets and rolled-rarity items (Repair Kits, Fuel Cans, consumables) get their rarity from a second roll, which is included. Gadgets above Uncommon only come out of the danger zones, vaults, supply drops and the underground, and then busted (the Tech Lab repairs them); elsewhere they are capped at Uncommon. The number of rolls is multiplied by the current loot setting (×1.2, rounded up or down at random).

Area tiers T0–T4: 0 · quiet edges, 1 · towns & farms, 2 · busier places, 3 · danger zones, 4 · the worst of it.

Rarity columns are for each extra item roll. Dead Coin takes up the rest of each roll.

Horde Night crates

These aren't random. Your Horde Night crate is set by how much of your Hideout core survives the night: Wooden Crate if the core holds, Iron Crate with 25%+ of the core left, Gold Crate with 50%+ of the core left, Diamond Crate with 95%+ of the core left. Nothing if the core falls. They pay Dead Coin straight into your wallet and hold base-building materials, never crates, keys or gear.

How these numbers are made

A build script loads the same game code the island runs on and opens each crate 1,000,000 times with a fixed random seed (20260929). It runs again every time the site is published, so the numbers always match the shipped game. The game's current loot settings are included: ×1.2 item count and ×1.2 rarity. In the game, tap a crate in your stash and press Odds to see the same numbers. Raw data: data.json.
